By Dr. Patrick Sookhdeo Islamist parties were able to take power in the early phase of the “Arab Spring,” but successive populations quickly became disoriented with their less than democratic behavior. Christians were among those hardest hit by the hard-line Islamist rhetoric. With the replacement of MB parties in Egypt and Tunisia, more moderate voices are taking power, with the surprising result that Muslims are now speaking out on behalf on Christians and calling for their protection.
