Patrick Sookhdeo is director of the Institute for the Study of Islam and Christianity, a Christian research institute specializing in the status of Christian minorities in the Muslim world. He is also international director of the Barnabas Fund. Dr Sookhdeo is a well-known lecturer and author who holds a Ph.D. from London University’s School of Oriental and African Studies and a D.D. from Western Seminary, Oregon, USA.

The main ministry of Barnabas Fund is to send financial support to projects which help Christians where they suffer discrimination, oppression and persecution as a consequence of their faith. The projects aim to strengthen Christian individuals, churches and their communities by providing material and spiritual support in response to needs identified by local Christian leaders.
